Nichola Kyle comes from an artistic Welsh background. She was brought up in Warwickshire in the UK where as a child she would make clay pots and small sculptures from the local clay.

She moved to Ireland in 1973, got married, had two children and studied sculpture at The National College of Art and Design in Dublin. In 1995 she realised her long held ambition to become a full time sculptor. Some of her many commissions since can be seen here. Among the exhibitions she has taken part in are The Royal Hibernian Academy, RHA Gallagher Gallery, The Guinness Hop Store Gallery, The Listoke Gallery, Drogheda, Co. Louth and a solo exhibition at Ryton Gardens, Coventry, UK.
